Orb Weaver 07:09
All alone, a world twisting shockingly Wandering, hidden from common eyes Wading through the darkness Suspicious and paranoid, they reached beyond A voice emerged from the void Beautiful, enchanting alluring voice Speaking the words they wished to hear A truth to rejoice, finally she opened the door Welcome children, listen to me, I have the real truth I have knowledge of the world That they're keeping from you Like a spider were her fingers, spindly and frail Orb Weaver what they called her As she wove her tales Mystified they looked into her blue eyes And saw only kinship there She had so much wisdom to share The secrets of how to survive Unmasked, untethered, alive If they hunted today, would she devour their prey Or would her children be her slaves Orb Weaver now we see you for what you are Though small weak and abandoned We’ve come this far Like a spider luring victims into her lies Orb Weaver spinning webs For her monstrous disguise The spider's eggs have hatched Filling the world with her voice Treachery filling empty spaces Ignorance lead to rejoice Teaching their children that knowledge is fraud Only to grow and breed, planting a million tiny seeds Crawling through every space Giving light to the blind Her children are watching They're spreading her voice To every single ear they can find Draining the blood from the minds of the young Leaving them weak and frail Diseased and pale, will the orb weaver prevail Spider, where are you now Your children are hungry Is there no food for them Corpses of your children are everywhere Is there no blood to spare Or was it all a nightmare Orb Weaver now we see you for what you are Like a predator who fed on blindness And rose like a star Children screaming for their mother slowly wither away Clinging to her deception even as they decay Like a spider luring victims into her lies Orb weaver pinning webs for Her monstrous disguise Orb weaver

As the jaws of chaos vocalized with promises of fear A cloud of noxious language Flowed throughout the atmosphere Repugnance swore the world would change And cleanse their stolen land Until members of the Kult Set forth to follow his commands They walked the streets as one Weapons ready to assault anyone who questioned The sanctity of the Krimson Kult They were hundreds weak at first Rich and poor alike Seeing change throughout the land They dreamed of a fourth reich Recruiting children, old, infirmed They spoke of unity Freedom granted for obedience To white supremacy Freedom reigns they cried, chanting for their master Feasting on his every word, numbers growing faster They rose up on the streets to praise This foul and vulgar man Stars and stripes replaced with his face It's the rise of the Krimson Kult The Kult grew faster as they toiled Words dripping with the fear That they could be the minorities In a world that once held them dear And when it was suggested this power be reclaimed They took up flags that bore their master’s name It's the rise of the Krimson Kult They gathered for their master On the capitol one day Murder, chaos, treason Fellow Kultists gave them way But the voice of their dear leader Would be silenced in the end Their dreams of white utopia were already dead Freedom reigns, they cried Chanting for their master Feasting on his every word Numbers growing faster They rose up on the streets to praise This foul and vulgar man He who raised the Kult of Krimson From the children of the Klan It's the rise of the Krimson Kult Led by children of the Klan

Behind the light That blinds you in the sky There is a right To always question Always question why So hear the silence And ask yourself for faith And eat the answer As it all fades away Oh will this era end or fade Is anybody getting paid A generation of destitution Or will we fight a revolution Within this day We always find a path No other way To feel everlasting love or wrath Unto the world Bring all your fears and ecstasy Internal driving of madness For only you and me Oh will this era end or fade Is anybody getting paid A generation of destitution Or will we fight a revolution Why would you open up your doors Why would you bring about this curse Is it your pride that's guiding you Toward the deep In the end are we all his sheep In the end will we ever sleep Oh will this era end or fade Is anybody getting paid A generation of destitution Or will we fight a revolution Will these souls ever get to rest Can we even pass this test Open your hearts to me Open your eyes and see Open your mouth and feed Open your life and breed

The sun illuminates Another vicious day The nightmare plague has condemned The poor to die this way Strap on your weapons And prepare to meet the dawn Now countless dead have risen And it’s time to battle on Summon grave troopers They’re here to clear the way Spilling their blood for all mankind Summon grave troopers Naive of man to think That death could set us free When bodies rose We fled undead humanity Greed saw death As opportunity to be possessed Rose the dead as slaves To cleanse the weak oppressed Summon grave troopers They're here to clear the way Spilling their blood for all mankind Summon grave troopers Familiar faces on the rampage are the test Grave Troopers take the burden Putting them to rest Sacrificed for the belief That mankind can be saved Taking memories of battle to the grave Summon grave troopers They’re here to clear the way Spilling their blood for all mankind Summon grave troopers

Buried deep down in the south When County Crow was new Legend says out in the woods A wizard lived there too They say his beard was white as snow His skin like leather hide He wore a robe of starlight and treated people kind When bees bit little Tommy's eyes The old man made some tea And after screaming through the night The little boy could see One day a preacher came to town His wide hat just as broad His sermons preached witchcraft And the mighty wrath of god He taught the town to fear the gifts That blessed their livelihoods And soon the town marched on the man Who lived out in the woods Led by the preacher, torches lit They stormed the Wizard's land But some crows flew ahead of them And warned him of their plans The wizard of Crow County always had a cure Healing with the magic of the forest and the stars He stood outside his wooden shack Waiting for the crowd And when their fire reached his eyes He spoke and stood his ground I've been good to this town I've helped you build your lives But if you want I'll up and go the sad old wizard cried Without another word he went, cats following his steps The mob descended on his shack And stole the land he left And now the town lies destitute The wizard's curse they say He who never hurt a soul or had cruel things to say He could have burned the land to ash Or plagued their crops for years But all the wizard left behind Was suffering and tears So think on of the wizard and County Crow's downfall You can use your hands to heal your friends Or you can damn them all The Wizard of Crow county always had a cure Healing with the magic of the forest and the stars The Wizard of Crow county used his gifts to heal If only man could understand the power he could wield The Wizard of Crow County lives to serve mankind A legend or a myth they say of magic left behind The wizard of Crow County lives in every town

Reaching for his gun, hatred in his eyes Look around and smile, see the Kult arise Whispering a silent prayer to the god of fear Give us this fine day, the truth is crystal clear Time to march with the boys, head held high No one will ever stop them One nation under one red sky Go back! Keep your huddled mass away Go back! Keep your tired and poor Initiation done, blinded by the lies The spider has spoken, deception and disguise She said voices were erased, crying it's not fair Now there's a score to settle, revolution in the air His pulse racing, mindless mob on the prowl Climb the wall of tyranny, gang justice here and now Go back! Keep your huddled mass away Go back! Keep your tired and poor Place the blame, there’s nothing more Tripped and fell just like before Backed into a corner now Got to make it back somehow This is the cause that is fought for Determination to stand strong A mind that can’t be wrong No one dared to speak The consequences of his chosen path Sins and sirens wailing No! We will not go! We will not go! The world will turn Until the end of space and time Evil in the heart is their cruel design The voices of dissent echo through centuries The tyranny of mind is a disease The past is gone It's time to change our destinies It's in our hands The future that was meant to be Two visions of the world Will play out on the stage Who will write the rules in the golden age Go back! The huddled mass will lead the way Go back! The tired and poor are here to stay Go back! The huddled mass will lead the way Go back! Go back! The tired and poor are here to stay

Bodies lithe and oily Coconuts and booze Swarm like horny locusts Spreading plague to the youth The sickness spreads from tiki glasses Mouths agape while eating clams They have no idea what is spreading Until their lives start ending It's a beach murder party They'll remember all their days Even though those days are numbered Who cares what those doctors say It’s a beach murder party Dead Wheezing through the fluid Filling up their lungs Coughing blood, cheap beer and bile Choking on each other's tongues Dropping dead right on the surf A delicious shark buffet Ocean water red with carnage What a sunny day It's a beach murder party They'll remember all their days Even though those days are numbered Who cares what those doctors say Beach murder party Dead Dead boy summer Beach murder party Beach murder, beach beach murder murder Beach murder party Dead Dead boy summer Life’s a beach

Twisting vines From the depths of the river Reaching through sewage Thick with age Amber eyes scanning skies to deliver The vengeance of earth And its boundless rage Two hundred years of waste and pollution Cast to the waters to drown Not even smallpox or typhoid The great retribution Could stop the filth from raining down Did man think He could smother the spirit The river breathes With the soul of the earth Revenge made flesh From the depths of corruption The fury of the Anacostia Putrification Fetid waters bubbling Acidic footsteps dissolving the road Feasting on refuse Who blindly serve the masters Carrion trail left by all who oppose Did man think He could smother the spirit The river lives and breathes With the soul of the earth Revenge made flesh From the depths of corruption The fury of the Anacostia Did man think He could smother the spirit The river lives and breathes With the soul of the earth Revenge made flesh From the depths of corruption The fury of the Anacostia Into the maw The creature devours The living disease That gnaws on his pain Swallow the bones The meat and the power Until his water runs clear again Until his water runs clear again

Do It All 05:07
Remember when they said I couldn’t win Remember when And when the doubt sets in That's when the fight begins Couldn't break my will Now go in for the kill And I do it all , do it all And I do it all Do it all for spite They peaked so early And then had nowhere to go Nowhere to go Sweat and bleed and scheme Grind your fingers to the bone See strength and wonder Find the will And I do it all, do it all And I do it all Do it all for spite You are more than them Do it, do it, do it And I do it all, do it all And I do it all And I do it all, do it all And I do it all Do it all for spite

about

A Sound of Thunder's ninth album The Krimson Kult was conceived during the global pandemic of 2020 and 2021. All the emotions from that time period have been channeled into this dark, heavy and dynamic album.

The lyrics were inspired by real life events, but interpreted through the lexicon of heavy metal, which means there are still monsters, cults, wizards, and more! Only this time, they're all real.

Sonically the album treads new ground for ASoT, utilizing vintage instruments & gear and tuned-down guitars to capture a classic vibe that harkens back to the most classic metal and hard rock of the '70s and early '80s.
